This is just an update on my daughter’s condition. She is fine! Isn’t it great? The chickenpox only lasted for a few days. The second time we went to see the doctor – first was to confirm that it was chicken pox – he said that it is already okay for her to go out since the blisters had already crusted over and not contagious. All in good time for Christmas.
I have never had the disease myself yet. Or at least that was what I was told by my own mother and I don’t remember having it. The next few days perhaps will determine whether I caught the virus or not. I sure hope not.
Now one problem is over and life is getting back to normal. Even the rusty metal hose from the old water boiler in the bathroom got replaced not too long ago. So everything is just fine!

We had a lovely dinner on Christmas eve, together as a family with the in laws. I ate more chocolates in a day than I would the whole month. I don’t usually eat much chocolate but yesterday evening, people came with all sorts of chocolaty desserts that I just couldn’t resist myself. Who could?
Well, after dinner we all opened our gifts. I love my gifts this year. All things of which I need and will use. Afterwards we played a little game. Play a shooting game on the xbox or something. I’m quite good with that sort of game. Not because I’m so good at aiming but the holographic sights on the guns helped. So it was a lot of fun!
After a game or two, chit chat, then it’s time to pack up and go back home. Well, it was simple but it was something different than normal days. More visiting and eating to do next week. Then it’s losing all the gained weight time.

There is a family friend here who are quite well off. They go on a vacation to somewhere exotic every winter. Staying at the best hotels and go shopping at luxurious malls. What a life huh?
Well, some people work hard to get that, and I believe these people deserve it. They worked all year round, and go on a vacation when it is the coldest here, just to gain back the balance in their lives.
If I were them, I’d do the same as well. Spend some time in luxury new york city hotels or some exotic and luxurious resort in Koh Samui, Thailand. *sigh*
For now, even to get a week holiday and drive 100 kms out of the city would be a luxury for us. But at least I can say that we are lucky enough to have that.

The first thing I like about Christmas is the presents. Secondly, is the food! I always thought that you should try to lose a little weight right before any holiday that includes lots and lots of good food. So that you can eat as much as you want without feeling guilty or too bad about gaining back the weight that you lost. Since that was the reason you lose weight for!
Do a crash diet, take alli, hoodia,phentermine diet pills, or increase the work out time. Anything that would help you lose weight for the special occasion and give a little buffer zone to gain a little weight after that. After all Christmas dinner only comes once a year.

My daughter is down with chicken pox this week. So I am doing quite a bit of research on how to care and treat it. Though we did go and see a doctor and got some medications for it – in times like this, sure is good that we have affordable health insurance. However, I still would like to use some natural remedies as well to make her go through the condition as comfortable as possible. Here are a few that I think I might try.
The pocks are appearing slow and steady so it may take a while for her to get better. I’ve been told that coconut water would help to make them appear quicker. As to quicken the healing process as well.
Then comes the itchiness. Oatmeal is said to be good to ease this problem. Cook 2 cups of oatmeal with 2 litres of water for 15 minutes then transfer it into a clean cotton bag. Tie the bag up and chuck it into a tub of water and let it cloudy the water up. It’s in this water the patient is to sit in and let the water to go over all the pocks.
Honey can be used to help quicken the healing process as well by smearing a good amount of it all over the pocks. It is said by doing this it will help heal within 3 days.
Last but not least I would also try the to boil 100 gm of carrots and 60 gm of fresh coriander which were chopped small for 30 minutes. The residue is to be put aside and the soup is to be taken once a day.
Other than the medications we got at the pharmacy, I don’t think it would do any harm to try out these home remedies. I can only hope they would help to make her comfortable.

We went to the first belly dancing class on Tuesday last week. I was nervous at first but I forgot about my nervousness immediately after we started to do the warm up. It sure was different compared to learning all by yourself with a couple of DVDs at home. You become more conscious that’s for sure. But at least you know that there is someone who knows what she is doing and in case if you don’t know how to do a certain move she would be able to suggest on how to do it the right way.
It was just an hour, but it was quite tiring. I suppose when I do it by myself I stop to take a breather a lot. You can’t do that when there are other people around. Well, I know I won’t lose weight as quick and easy as just taking Lipofuze, Hoodia, Alli or any other diet product but at least I think it is a lot more fun.
Next class will be only Monday.

Winter is upon us here in Europe. As I am typing this, snow is falling outside. I love to see falling snow. But I’m not sure I like the cold and the gloom too much. I suppose many of us share the same sentiment. This kind of weather would make me feel, tired, sleepy, and depressed at times.
Would be nice to do some outdoor snow sports or activities. That would keep the depression away. Getting an atv complete with ATV Accessories or just a sled or even hurling snow balls at each other. Well, in this kind of weather we should do something to stay out of depression.
Good thing Christmas is coming soon. That’s one activity worth looking forward to.

Tomorrow will be the first time I’m going to a belly dance class. I usually do it on my own at home with help of a few vcds. They are great but would be better to have a real live teacher whom you can forward your questions to if you have any and ask for suggestions about ways to do a movement easily.
It is a free class. It’s like a community activity. Well, it’s not everyday we get to go to classes for free. I’m not so keen on having to pay so much for my credit cards bills every month.
I’m all excited about the class, and I feel a little bit of anxiety about meeting new people. I’ll get over it I know.

Blackheads are one of my skin problems that is pretty hard to eliminate. I can keep it under control but that’s about it. The part of the face where there’s a tendecy for me to get blackheads are around my nose. I’d have to use a special nose strip to clear the surface of my nose of blackheads every few weeks. I truly am dependant on those nose strips. And if I’m up to my last strip I’d definitely in a panic to get a new batch delivered.
The only way to end this is just to find a more than temporary way to get rid of blackheads. Getting an Ipod has been a good investment for me so far. Even more so that I have downloaded an application called ‘Calories counter and diet tracker’ by myfitnesspal. An app that helps record the amount of calories, and help keep track the amount of exercise needed to lose or gain the weight you want.
What I love about this app is the 450000 food nutrition facts – so you can find just about any food data on it – and also how it would estimate for you the amount of time you need if you keep on doing the same as you do everyday. Say if I only consume 1200 of calories and do a minimum of 30 minutes of workout a week, it would estimate you to be 50 kg within 4 weeks if you do the same. For me today it said that I would be 48 kg in just about 5 weeks if I continue what I’m doing today. That is really a good motivation to keep up. Last but not least, another reason I love this app, is because its free. At least at the time I downloaded it, it was free.
There are many other apps that I’d like to try. But some of them requires payment. Well, not that expensive, but they would cost a lot if added up. Perhaps when I have more income if I can find a health product affiliate program. Then perhaps.
