Visualization is just like day dreaming. That’s what some people who doesn’t believe in it would say. Well, I agree… partly. It is very thin difference between visualization and plain day dreaming I think. I believe, to make a visualization work, not only one has to think about something, imagining something as detail as possible — the more detail like how a document imaging machine would do is better — and most importantly feel passionately about it as if it is all real.
The feeling of how the visualization gives you the satisfaction is all important because it can be a source of motivation. Motivation to keep on doing the right thing that will take you to your dream, and motivation to keep on being positive.
I do visualize nearly everyday lately. I don’t make it a chore but do it when I feel like it. And even though I told myself that I’d still be happy and contented even if it doesn’t happen, but in the end, I do feel that there are some positive changes in my life – which is what the Abraham Hick’s followers would call ‘driftwood’. A smaller piece of what is even bigger yet to happen. Most importantly I feel much more at peace with life somehow.
Many of us, in the hopes to get rid of fat and become slimmer, we forget that our body still needs fat to function well. There are 2 types of essential fatty acids and the ones that I know or heard often of are the gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and the conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).
I am taking evening primrose oil capsules everyday for the past few weeks, due to the GLA that it contains. It is said to help improve the skin condition and useful for Premenstrual syndrome symptoms.
The CLA on the other hand, is said, if taken in 300mg doses, it can help burn fat. If taken in doses of 4500mg, it can help build lean muscle mass when you work out.
So, I suppose if you want a healthy looking skin, and lean and slim, these are the two essential fatty acid that you should look out for in the ingredient list of supplement that you intend to take.
There are many work out routines. The ones that I’m quite familiar with are aerobics, taebo, pilates, zumba, and belly dancing. The latest one that I’ve heard about is the P90x work out. A work out system that doesn’t only focuses on burning fat, but tone muscles as well.
With the P90x you will be given a 90 day work out, nutrition and dietary plan to follow. And if you follow the plan as instructed, a slimmer, healthier body can be yours. Not to mention the total replacement of your old unhealthy lifestyle to a healthy one.
Now, the key to the success of this workout system is the muscle confusion. It is said that if you do the same all the time, there will be a time the body reaches a plateau and the body get used to it. And may even add up fat to some other parts of the body that were not frequently challenged in the work out. That is why in the P90x system, there are different type of work out every week, giving you a combination work out that burn fat and tone muscles.
I did read some p90x reviews on websites and videos about the work out and testimonials on youtube. They made it look quite promising. Well, good reason enough for me to check out more about this work out routine myself.
Long before all the skin care products came along our ancestors had used all sorts of ingredients that can be found easily to help maintain a healthy glowing skin. I myself have heard a few of those tips which, with all the beauty products available these days, I nearly never used them.
Here are a couple of Asian old timer acne tips that I’ve been told about:
1. Get a small bag of tea leaves (the green ones), boil it in water, then apply it to the acne.
2. Take a bit of tamarind paste, and an inch of turmeric. Blend them together. Use the mixture on the face as a mask and leave it on for about 15-20 minutes. Then wash.
Well, I am not really sure whether they work or not. But this is what I was told. 40-50 years ago there were not so many beauty products available compared to now. Even if there were, many people wouldn’t be able to afford them. Hence the creativity to create home made remedies.
What are the best acne solutions? There are indeed quite a few of them in the market. There are even more of those that don’t. So how would you know what to buy and not? You can use Bestacnesolutions.com to help you out on that. They only sell the best acne products that has proven to work for many users.
However, one must bare in mind though, that even if one product works for one person, it may not work for another. So if that ever happens to you, there is the 60 days money back guarantee. So there is really nothing to worry about wasting money on products that don’t work for you.
Thus, if you are like me, always on the look out for ‘that’ acne solution that works for you, you may want to check them out.
I know that I have gained weight when my clothes feel tighter, and when I feel heavier. That calls for an appetite suppression affirmation for me and more exercise. I must admit that I have been eating without checking myself. Not too much of a weight gain though about 3 kg I think. But that is already a lot for me to notice it.
I was once rather overweight as I have mentioned before. That time I simply did not know how I ended up that way. It’s like one day you don’t really realize that you are over weight but the next day, you wake up and reality hit you. “I’m fat”. That is the thing I am trying to avoid.
Prevention is easier than cure. So as long as I only have about 2-3 kg to lose, gain and lose back. It’s okay. But not more.
Do you have that special scent that would remind you of your childhood or certain events? For me, certain smell of plastic that they use for toys, small cigar made of chocolates, cotton candy, play-doh would transport me back into the past as a child.
I’ve always wondered whether certain scents too can help with weight loss. According to Dr. Alan Hirsch, of the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago, there are. Scents of cocoa, strawberry, raspberry and banana for example can help trick the brain that it has eaten enough. Thus, helping people eat less.
When I saw the pair of running shorts lying at the bottom of my drawer, I realize how long I haven’t been running. (Playing catch with kids don’t count.) I mean really running. It must have been ages since I last did that.
I believe my heart is in need of a cardio workout. For even though I exercise, most of the time it isn’t the type that gets my heart pumping real hard – Pilates, yoga or crunches. Belly dancing would get me panting but not much as zumba. As much as I like to look fit and slim, I am ashamed to say I hate doing any sort of work out that would get me all sweaty and heart pumping hard. That’s why I’m much more comfortable with pilates.
I saw a threadmill the other day on one of the catalogs that we receive everyday in our mail. I’m already thinking of getting one when and if there is enough space for it. Since I can’t sleep at nights perhaps running on the threadmill would help me sleep better too.
Although happiness comes in different forms for different people but it only leads to the same feeling. Some people are lucky enough to be in a surrounding or environment that is conducive to being happy. While others may have to work a little harder to keep themselves happy – looking for the bright side of any misfortunes for example.
I want to be happy. So far I’m succeeded in keeping myself happy. Thus far from the things that I see from outside or others. But my hope is to one day be able to be happy for just being happy. No matter where I am or in what ever circumstances I would be in. Drawing out the happiness from within myself.
For that reason I am quite open to all sorts of teachings/methods – silva mind control, Law of attraction, mind control and now Abraham Hicks. Though, to be honest I feel uncomfortable with the idea of speaking through mediums from another dimension or world, as Abraham claims to be, I am ready to put my discomfort aside because some of the teachings are worth to be followed.
I used to get into depressions or being moody, but lately I can say that I have my emotions rather in control and I’m proud of myself. As I am still looking for a job right now – jobs retail sector or teaching – I’m preparing myself mentally. Re-creating myself from within, etc. Hoping that what I feel inside will show and that would help me find employment. If not, I will still feel happy.
I believe I have posted about my dry skin problem and that it may be related to zinc deficiency. For that reason I’ve been taking 15mg of zinc capsules everyday and on occasions 2-3 doses more if my dry skin problem gets worse. The type of zinc I’m taking is Zinc sulfate. Although I feel like my skin condition is so much better and nearly no acne problem at all nowadays, the only problem I have with it is the side effect. Headache and nausea sometimes. For the sake of better skin, I’d endure the little discomforts.
Despite that my skin is generally better but there are still days when it gets real dry, itchy and uncomfortable. Therefore I decided to take evening primrose oil or EPO. It is said the oil contains Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA), which is an essential fatty acid of the omega 6 family. It has anti-inflammatory properties which plays an important role in maintaining healthy skin. Well, I’m not really sure how it would work for me, but it is worth the try.
Now that winter is nearing I’m trying to get myself prepared. Supplements for any deficiency I may suffer from that causes my skin to dry out, tamanu oil and nivea creme moisturizer to keep skin stay moisturized. Looking at the Branson vacations, now I wonder whether a long relaxing vacation back to my hometown would help as well.
Well, as I said, I’m will to try, but let’s hope that the supplements would help me fight of dry skin.
